The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is a Montessori-based religious formation program for children ages 3-6 years. It seeks to create and facilitate a sacred, “hands-on” space called an atrium, in which both the children and the catechists can hear, ponder, and celebrate the most essential mysteries of the Christian faith as revealed in the Scripture and liturgy. This program was implemented in November of 2006. Our atrium is housed in the Saint Joseph Conference Room and program will be held 10:00 am – 11:00 a.m. on Sundays. Parents will have the opportunity to bring their young children to the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd while they celebrate Sunday liturgy with the parish community.
All of the above mentioned programs are headed up by our Faith Formation Coordinator, Alison Schlag.
