The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) is the process by which adults of other faiths become Catholics. Biweekly meetings of team and candidates explore all aspects of our Catholic faith. Special rituals, to mark milestones in the process, are celebrated at the 8:00 a.m. Mass on Sunday.
The candidates express their faith and are prayed over by the priest and congregation.
The OCIA process culminates at the Easter Vigil when the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist are celebrated.
Anyone interested in learning more about the OCIA process is encouraged to contact our parish office. Our OCIA program begins each fall. Meetings are from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on the first and third Wednesdays of each month in our St. Joseph's Conference Room.
